Relaxation, culture, and nightlife

The location of our hotel combines the wish for relaxation and quietness and the desire for mundane, cultural and artistic entertainment. Choose whatever you want according to your mood.
The movida of Piazza Bologna is waiting for you within walking distance, while the grandeur of Ancient Rome is a short subway ride away. Go for a pleasant walk and explore Villa Torlonia, Villa Paganini and the Catacombs of St. Agnes, then take the subway and get to the historical center of Rome in just a handful of minutes.

Catacombs of St. Agnes

550 meters

The Catacombs of St. Agnes are named after the young martyr who was buried here between the mid-3rd century and the early 4th century. In honor of her memory, the minor basilica of Saint Agnes Outside the Walls was built above their remains. The adjacent Mausoleum of Santa Costanza is one of the most significant monuments of Late Antique architecture.

Villa Torlonia

1 km

The old park of Villa Torlonia preserves its unique charm to this day, thanks to the refined English garden and the many original buildings it contains. Among these, stand out the “Casina delle civette”, the former Liberty-style dwelling of Prince Alessandro Torlonia, and Casino Nobile, residence of the Mussolini family for over twenty years.

Villa Paganini

1 km

Across from Villa Torlonia, Villa Paganini looks like a late 19th-century romantic garden, made more precious by its pond and surrounded by elegant late 20th-century buildings. Its origins date back to cardinal Giulio Alberoni, who commissioned the magnificent Villa Alberoni, from which the current Villa Paganini stemmed out.

Porta Pia

2 km

Commissioned by Pope Pius IV and designed by Michelangelo, Porta Pia replaced the older Porta Nomentana in the mid-16th century. Famous for the historical breach that ended the Papal State, the Porta is made even more interesting by the monument that celebrates the return of Rome to unified Italy.
